I won’t abandon Oyetola’s projects — Adeleke

Since government is a continuum, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke promised yesterday not to abandon his predecessor’s ongoing projects.

An assertion by the representative to the Speaker, Kunle Alabi, expressed that the lead representative was at the Osun State Place of Gathering, yesterday, to look for the legislators’ collaboration for a Chief Regulative relationship.

The statement begins with: I need everyone’s help to move the state forward now that the election is over; the government cannot do it alone. We have an enviable state, but in order for the state to move forward, everyone needs to be prepared to contribute.

“I promise that my administration will not defraud anyone; it will be an all-inclusive government where everyone will be content and peace will rule supremely in the state,” the president stated.

Timothy Owoeye, Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, stated earlier in his speech that the Assembly will do everything in its power to support the government, stating that they may only disagree with the executive on the basis of the facts of the law and not on personal feelings.

The Speaker declared: The most important task is for you and your team to improve the relationship between the Executive and Legislative; it is most significant thinking about the distinctions in the philosophy of our ideological groups. We should likewise permit law and order to direct our activities, conduct and exercises during this period.

“On a personal note, I would like to implore you to surround yourself with men of honor, valour, and value who will offer the best guidance that will improve our people’s lives. The principle of separation of powers and mutual respect for each branch of government must always guide your actions and those of your team.

“Mr. Governor, I am pleased that you were once a distinguished senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in this arm. The legislative branch is responsible for the enormous task of doing the right thing and staying on that path, and we, as authorized representatives of our people, have pledged to continue on that path.
