I would have led Peter Obi’s campaign if… – Ortom

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom stated that if he had not been a PDP member, he would have led the campaign of Labour Party, LP presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Despite being a PDP member, Ortom stated that he preferred Obi while speaking at a forum.

Additionally, he asserted that the Dr. Iyorchia Ayu-led national leadership of his party should not be held accountable for the failure of reconciliation with the G-5 governors.

In an interview, Ortom explained that Obi possesses the qualities of the kind of leader Nigeria needs at this point in her history, despite the fact that he is not perfect like the majority of people.

He praised President Olusegun Obasanjo in particular for supporting Peter Obi in the difficult task of leading Nigeria at this time.

“So, here is someone who is looking ahead and wants the best for our country, Nigeria,” Ortom stated. He has recommended Peter Obi today.

“In all honesty, if I hadn’t been in the PDP, I would have been the first to carry Peter Obi’s bag and campaign for him because he has proven to be the best candidate thus far.

He is what this nation needs to fix its problems. someone with no criminal records. That is unquestionable, even though no one is perfect. There is no God or human being. However, this individual has distinguished himself.

Therefore, if I were to advise you on the best candidate for president, I would name Peter Obi. However, Obasanjo is the great patriot.
