If South-Easterners Want Presidency, They Should Vote For Me; I’m Stepping Stone – Atiku Abubakar Brags In Anambra

Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for president, has advised Nigerians living in the South-East region to support him in the general election in 2023 if they want the region to elect a president.

The former vice president made this statement on Thursday during a rally in Awka, the capital of Anambra State. He said that because this was the third time he was running for president with a running mate of Igbo (South East) descent, he was the stepping stone to the Igbo presidency.

At the rally in Ekwueme Square, Awka, Atiku and his running mate, Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, said, “I’m going to be the stepping stone to Igbo presidency.” Because this is the third time I will be running with an Igbo man as my running mate, I have demonstrated it through my actions.

“Vote Atiku/Okowa if you really want to have a president. We promise not to let you down, and I thank you for the wonderful reception.

Governor Okowa, Atiku’s running mate, also said, “We are appealing to you all to vote for PDP in the general election.” He praised the party leaders for the high level of campaigning in the communities of Anambra. Atiku, our presidential candidate, is the most experienced of the candidates running, and he is determined to bring about lasting change in Nigeria.

Similarly, PDP National Chairman Senator Iyorchia Ayu urged the Southeastern electorates to vote for PDP, despite the fact that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) had been in power in the state for nearly ten years. Ayu referred to Anambra State as a PDP State.

Senator Ayu stated, in support of his claim that Anambra was a PDP state, “PDP started in Anambra with our leader, Dr. Alex Ekwuene.” Thus, Anambra is not APGA but PDP. We will eventually bring APGA back to PDP’s home because he is PDP’s son.

Because there is no village in Nigeria where you won’t find an Igbo man, the Igbo people, especially in Anambra, are stakeholders in the country. This makes them more Nigerian nationals.

“I beg you to vote for the PDP because we have a very competent candidate who is also your in-law and a businessman like you. Sometimes, your son is superior to your in-law.

“Thus, go get your long-lasting elector cards and decision in favor of Atiku/Okowa. This team will solve Nigeria’s security issues, stabilize the country, and change the climate.
