Presidential competitor on the foundation of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Yahaya Bello has said he might want to venture down on the sets of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Bello, who expressed this subsequent to meeting in secret with Buhari in Abuja on Tuesday, said it was anything but a choice of the party to reject any hopeful from the APC essential.
He said, “It is a choice of a couple of elites, who might choose to utilize their whatever situation to smother the supposed minority, yet I need to demonstrate that in this country, I’m not in the minority. We have the larger part.”
Noticing that he has a place with the larger part and the more youthful age of Nigerians, Bello, “I have a place with the age of Nigerians that are persecuted and they are saying they should have their voice.”
Bello communicated confidence saying he would win predominantly at the APC essential field (this evening) assuming the cycle and typical guidelines are kept. “I will arise triumphant,” he said.
He said, “I regard President Muhammadu Buhari, the head of our party and I regard the party. Assuming the president requested that I venture down, I would. Mr. President didn’t request that anybody venture down.
“Mr. President said let the agents conclude who turns into the banner carrier of the party and he didn’t say anybody ought to be barred,” the lead representative added.
The legislative head of Kogi State had before cautioned that barring his name on the ballot in the APC essential could be a recipe for inconvenience for the party.
Lead representative Bello is one of the 23 applicants cleared to challenge for the party’s presidential ticket in the 2023 political decision.
