In a hidden prison in Nigeria, poisoning Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; A bad plan with unimaginable consequences

The sad news that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader and self-determination activist Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who was in the Department of State Security (DSS) torture chamber of the Nigerian government, had been poisoned is shocking and troubling. It highlights a pattern and reflects the primitive nature of Fulani hegemony. The news undoubtedly reflects the increasingly troubling state of the hour; a perilous time that calls for serious reflection given that the Nigerian government has indeed done worse.

As we travel back in time, the tragic deaths of Nigerians caused by government-approved poisoning immediately come to mind. Under the watchful eye of Nigerian government agents, individuals such as MKO Abiola, Fela Kuti, and Shehu Yar’dua, to name just a few, were all poisoned and allowed to die slowly. The fact that the Nigerian government is the one prescribing such a agonizing and traumatizing pill makes it a very serious problem, perhaps more so than the poisoning itself. Especially since there was neither a guilty verdict from the court nor any legal room for it. It demonstrates how a government can turn against its people when its drivers are power-hungry or clannish bigots.

They have now done it to IPOB leader and prisoner of conscience Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who was found innocent and discharged by a court. The UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention advised the Nigerian government to release Nnamdi Kanu and compensate him. According to Article 1 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People to Self-Determination, Kanu has not violated the universal right to self-determination.

According to the words of the Holy Bible, “Let their (the Nigerian government’s) table become a snare before them, and their well-being a trap,” the Nigerian government has demonstrated itself to be an agent of darkness. It is only right to demonstrate what her fate will be because of this. Make their loins shake continuously and darken their eyes so that they cannot see. Let Your wrathful anger take hold of them as You pour out Your outrage on them. Let it be desolate where they live; No one should live in tents. Ps. 69:22–25).

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will demonstrate to the entire world that he did not violate any law. He went to their own court and defeated them there. The court ordered that he be released without condition, but the Nigerian government blatantly denied the court’s order. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu complained on January 27, 2023, that he has not seen his doctor since the second week of December 2022; that whatever he ate comes out of his mouth when he lies down, and that the odor is brought on by his intestines. He also said that the food was of poor quality and that he was fed wrong.

Even though the poison is causing insidious damage, the government of Nigeria is using systematic methods to kill Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, as can be seen from the preceding. A critical thinker would not recommend the course of action that the government has taken. If anything happens to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in the Nigerian secret prison, it won’t be good news because it’s better to leave it up to the imagination!
