The Plateau Police Command has said that 17 individuals were killed and 85 structures consumed in the new assaults in Bassa and Riyom Local Government Areas of the state.

He said that there were assaults in Jebbu Miango in Bassa LGA where five individuals were killed on July 31, and 12 others were killed on August 1 at Tambora in Riyom LGA.

“There were assaults explicitly at Jebbu Miango on Saturday night, July 31 in which five individuals were killed and around 85 structures consumed.
“The following morning, the assaults proceeded at Tambora in Riyom LGA where 12 individuals were killed and a few houses obliterated,” he said.
The police chief unveiled that some security staff were additionally killed in the assaults.
