IPOB asks the United Nations to provide humanitarian assistance after a disagreement with Turkey and Syria over the massive, fatal earthquake.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide family and movement, led by the indomitable Liberator Mazi Nnamdi KANU, offer their condolences to the governments as well as the people of Turkey and Syria for the devastating earthquake that claimed over 24,000 lives in both of those nations.

As a new nation, Biafra mourns with Turkish and Syrian citizens for the earthquake-related deaths and damage to their homes. We ask all-powerful God Chukwu Okike Abiama to grant you the strength to bear the loss.

Together with the IPOB families in Turkey and Syria, the global Indigenous People of Biafra family extends its sincere condolences to the governments of Turkey and Syria as well as the individual families whose loved ones were killed in the earthquakes. We offer our condolences to you all and pray that this does not occur again. Tragic is the only word that can be used to describe the 24,000 deaths. We appeal to the United Nations, neighboring nations, and the international community to immediately provide humanitarian assistance to Syria and Turkey and their citizens.

As we pray for Chukwu Okike Abiama to protect IPOB family members in Turkey and Syria during this trying time, we also urge them to be vigilant. We encourage other members of the IPOB family around the world to call our friends in these two countries frequently to inquire about their well-being.
