JUST IN:Biden Calls Pope’s Iraq Visit Symbol Of Hope For World

US President Joe Biden on Monday called Pope Francis’ visit to Iraq an image of expectation for the whole world, as indicated by a White House explanation.

“Pope Francis’ visit was a noteworthy and welcome first for the country. It sent a significant message, as Pope Francis said himself, that ‘society is more tough than fratricide, that expectation is more impressive than death, that harmony more remarkable than war’,” Biden said.

The president called Iraq as “home to one of the most seasoned and most different Christian people group on the planet.”

“To see Pope Francis visit antiquated strict destinations, including the scriptural origination of Abraham, invest energy with Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani in Najaf, and offer supplications in Mosul — a city that a couple of years prior persevered through the degeneracy and prejudice of a gathering like ISIS — is an image of expectation for the whole world,” he added.
