The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has cautioned that the proceeded with killings of northerners in many pieces of the South will never again be endured.
The Director of Publicity and Advocacy of the Forum, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed in a proclamation gave Friday approached states, networks and policing to safeguard northerners living in the South.
The Forum caused to notice the risks of the heightening occurrences and incitements.
It communicated profound worry over what it depicted as the rising instances of profiling, focusing on and killings of Northerners in many pieces of the South.
It said: “Northern Elders Forum is profoundly worried over rising instances of profiling, focusing on and killings of Northerners in many pieces of the South.”
The discussion noticed that the new homicide of Nigerians in Imo State clearly on doubt that they were northerners was one occurrence among numerous new ones that include badgering, unlawful captures, assaults and killings of Nigerians from the North.
“The feeling that northerners are fair game for gatherings and associations in the South is driving northerners to practice their freedoms to travel and live calmly in any piece of Nigeria just under extraordinary risk and dread. This is insufferable and unsatisfactory.”
