Lagos crushes 2,200 seized motorcycles

The Lagos State Government, through the state Ecological and Unique Offenses Unit, (Team), on Friday, squashed 2,200 held onto bikes, prominently called okada, over infringement of state transit regulations.

The devastating, which occurred within the sight of the media at Team Ground, Alausa, Ikeja, was seen by the state Commissioner for Data and Methodology, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, and his Transportation partner, Dr. Fredric Oladeinde, among other top government functionaries.

The state government had put June 1 as cutoff time for okada to remain off specific regions in the state.

The regions are six neighborhood government and nine nearby committee advancement regions, LCDAs, in Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Surulere, Lagos Island, Lagos Central area and Apapa.

It likewise incorporates the city’s trunk streets and flyover spans.
