LP Presidential Campaign Council will hold Governor El-Rufai accountable for the murder of Labour Party Women’s Leader in Kaduna.

The horrifying murder of Mrs. Victoria Chintex, the women’s leader of the Labour Party in Kaduna State, has been condemned by the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, which attributes the incident to Nasir El-Rufai, the state governor and Chief Security Officer.Kenneth Okonkwo, the presidential campaign council’s spokesperson, made the statement.In the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, late Chintex served as the leader of the LP Women.
SaharaReporters had revealed that Chintex was shot dead on Monday night by shooters who allegedly broke into her home at around 8pm.
Edward Buju, the LP’s Publicity Secretary for the Southern Kaduna senatorial zone, issued a statement confirming the killing and describing it as an unintentional act.
It was learned that Victoria’s husband was shot in the leg as well, but he was rushed to a hospital, where he is currently being treated.
According to the statement, “The Southern Kaduna (Zone 3) Labour Party commiserates with the party chairman and his excos in Kaura local government area, over the untimely demise of our mother and sister, Mrs. Victoria Chintex, woman leader, Kaura local government,” the statement read. “She was killed yesterday (Monday) by some unknown gunmen in her residence in Kaura.”
Reactions have continued to follow the killing ever since the incident.
In response to Chintex’s death, Okonkwo stated that Governor El-Rufai ought to be held accountable if her killers are not apprehended immediately.
Okonkwo wrote, “The Labour Party Women Leader in Kaura, Kaduna State, Victoria Chintex, was shot dead by suspected assassins on Monday, 28 November.” He took to his Twitter handle to condemn the heinous murder.
“If the murderers are not apprehended immediately, the APC Governor of Kaduna State, El-Rufai, should be held accountable for her death as the CSO.”
Remember that the Inspector-General of Police Usman Baba slammed state governors for the country’s political violence last week while addressing officials from 18 political parties in Abuja.
