NBA scores INEC high in conduct of presidential poll, Say ‘It went well’

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) received high marks from the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for how it conducted the recently concluded presidential and national assembly elections.

Yakubu Maikyau, president of the NBA, stated on Channels TV on Saturday that INEC delivered the elections successfully despite obstacles.

I’ll just say that the elections were successful. Maikyau stated, “Those who came out were happy to express their franchise.”

There were definitely difficulties. There were a few violations, some of which were actual electoral violations, but overall, I will give INEC a score of somewhere between 78 and 80 percent for how well it carried out these elections.
