#NigeriaElections2023: Obi wins with 352,904 votes in Imo

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate, was declared the winner of Saturday’s presidential election in Imo State by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Obi received 352,904 votes, according to the state’s returning officer, Charles Esimone, who made the announcement of the results on Tuesday in Owerri. Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress received 66, 171 votes, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party received 30,044 votes, and Rabiu Kwankwaso received 1,536 votes.

In 26 of the state’s 27 Local Government Areas, the results were compiled.

The returning officer stated that violence prevented the collation of the Njaba LGA result.
