SAHARANEWS – Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said that the tour of South-east by the British High Commissioner, is because of the agitation for Biafra.
British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, had announced her plans to embark on a tour of Imo, Anambra and Enugu states from November 5-7.
She said the visit will focus on Nigeria’s political settlement, governance and service delivery. She also said the visit will focus on farmer/herder disputes, relations between the state and Federal Government, amongst others.
Reacting yesterday, on Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu warned traditional rulers not to jeopardize the struggle for Biafra.
“Anything you tell the British High Commissioner we will hear it, and if it is against Biafra we will come after you,” he told monarchs in Southeast.
“Tell British High Commissioner coming to Biafra land, that nothing shall make Biafrans to go back to one Nigeria.
“Those she is going to meet didn’t start the freedom fighting for our people. They are in the minority.
“IPOB headed by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the engine room of the present freedom fighting for Biafrans residing in the old Eastern region of Nigeria.
“Biafrans have been killed in their millions under the supervision of the British Government, died, tortured, dehumanized, maimed, castigated, humiliated, maltreated etc.
“They need their freedom now from Nigeria. All they want is REFERENDUM!
“They don’t want restructuring, regionalism or anything that will make them to remain in one Nigeria again. Total freedom for Biafra now and forever,” he said in the message to the British High Commissioner.
