Nnamdi Kanu: IPOB to shutdown southeast from November 5

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), said they will lock down the southeastern region from November 5, 2021, if their leader Nnamdi Kanu is not released from detention.

Chika Edoziem, IPOB’s Head of Directorate of State, who disclosed this on Friday, said the sit-at-home will be indefinite, with the exception of Sunday.

“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should be unconditionally released with immediate effect. Failing to release him from tonight till 4th November 2021, there shall be indefinite lockdown of all the Biafraland until the adjourned the date 10th November 2021 exception of Sundays,” said Edoziem in the broadcast on Radio Biafra.

IPOB’s HODS, which also said the group would resist any attempt to secretly prosecute Nnamdi Kanu, said traditional leaders and others must show solidarity by sending delegates to Abuja during the trial of the leader of IPOB.

“Failing to adhere to this order shall be  presumed as the enemy of the people,” said Edoziem.
