Nwodo says that Tinubu already serves Igbo “bread soaked in water.”

Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, the former National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has stated that Ahmed Tinubu, the newly elected president of Nigeria, has begun providing Ndigbo with “a piece of bread soaked in water.”

Tinubu attended a presidential campaign rally at Michael Okpara Square in January.

He urged southerners to work for his and the party’s victory during the rally.

Tinubu asserts, “… no one will give you any credit, you are working hard, and you are sweating now.”

We want you to put in a lot of effort now for this party until you win.

“Until Bola Tinubu turns into the Leader of Nigeria, we won’t give you however a splashed cut bread.”

In an exclusive interview with Vanguard on Monday, Nwodo stated that Tinubu was already providing the promised “soaked bread” to the Igbo.

He said it in response to the belief that Igbo people were left out of Tinubu’s 14-member inauguration committee.

An ex-Governor of Enugu State named Nwodo predicted that any Nigerian President who fails to diligently work to unite Nigeria’s ethnic groups will fail catastrophically.

In a similar vein, he lamented the recurrent assaults on Igbo people in Lagos State, who, according to him, were allegedly being punished for voting their conscience in the general elections.

The senior legislator likewise said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s expression of remorse to Nigerians was late and insufficient to recuperate the injury he caused Nigerians.

Nwodo, who gave the Federal Government led by the All Progressives Congress a terrible score of 30 percent, said that hunger, ethnic bigotry, and insecurity spread throughout Nigeria during its time in power.

The President had apologized to Nigerians, expressing that he had given a valiant effort and can hardly stand by to return to home base to Daura, in Katsina State.
