Obi: I don’t know why APC has not sacked me — Babachir Lawal

Engineer, a former Secretary of the Federation and leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Babachir Lawal, has said that he was for Peter Obi of the Work Party, communicating shock that APC had not sacked him (Lawal).

He went on to say that Peter Obi must win the election for president in 2023 because of the state of the country right now.

Lawal made these remarks on Monday during an interactive session in Abuja between Obi and stakeholders from the north-east.

I have not yet been fired by the APC. I have no idea what they are awaiting.

We (Obi) must win this election because we want to. Because of our failure to win, we will all migrate to Cameroon if we lose this election. Peter Obi must win this election, not whether we have options.

“Nigerians are hungry for change, and people are determined that the change we’ve been waiting for will come this time.

“Luckily, we have a skillful individual in Peter and his running mate. These two provide the arrowhead we need to drive this change.

I have no interest in the LP party. Peter Obi as a potential presidential candidate interests me. I sense that Nigerians are in need of change, regardless of which party Peter Obi belongs to.

“They have long desired change; In my opinion, Nigeria will support anyone so long as he does not belong to the PDP or APC.

Engineer Convener According to Isaac Balami, the interactive session aims to discover methods for mobilizing the grassroots for Obi/Datti and ensuring their victory on February 25, 2023.

He stated, “Our meeting here is to discuss how to ensure Obi/Datti’s victory.”
