SAHARANEWS – The Nigerian Bar Association(NBA) has directed its members to boycott courts in the country as it embarks on a two-day warning strike to protest the suspension of Justice Walter Onnoghen as Chief Justice Of Nigeria.
The lawyers said they would boycott all the courts.
The decision was taken after the association’s national executive committee(NEC) emergency meeting in Abuja on Monday.
President Muhammadu Buhari suspended Onnoghen on Friday and immediately swore in Ibrahim Muhammad in acting capacity.
SaharaNews earlier reported that the Nigerian Bar Association protested over Onnoghen’s suspension.
