Our battle is to improve Nigerian colleges — ASUU

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared that it wouldn’t think twice about its battle for the better of Nigerian colleges, IgbereTV reports

The ASUU President, Emmanuel Osodeke, said this when he highlighted in a Channels TV interview, Politics Today, on Monday.

As indicated by him, the continuous modern activity left upon by the association was a consequence of easygoing disposition of the central government toward their requests.

The President noticed that they wouldn’t quit squeezing for huge requests in light of a legitimate concern for public tertiary establishments and Nigerians.

He added that the strike would be canceled when the national government shows availability to respect the arrangements between them.

Osodeke said: “Our battle is in light of a legitimate concern for Nigerian youngsters. Go to Ghana or South Africa whether you can contrast their colleges and our own. Furthermore, we call ourselves Giant of Africa.

“Taking everything into account, the strike can end tomorrow. We have completed the discussion. Assuming that the public authority calls us now to come and consent to the arrangement, we will be there tomorrow.

“Allow the public authority to let us know they have wrapped up testing the UTAS and we have acknowledged it, then we will cancel the strike.

“When will they consent to the arrangement? When will they acknowledge UTAS? Those are the two inquiries we ought to pose to the Nigerian government
