Peter describes the assassination as a “mindless killing,” and the death of the Labour Party Women’s Leader

Peter Obi has expressed his shock at the passing of Mrs. Victoria Chintex, the Women Leader of the Labour Party (LP) in Kaura, Kaduna State. He described the development as a significant loss.
On Monday, gunmen broke into Mrs. Chintex’s house and killed her.Her husband, who is being treated in a hospital, was also shot by the attackers.
Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, took to his official social media accounts to express his grief as he reacted to the incident.
“I am shocked by the senseless murder of Mrs. Victoria Chintex, the women’s leader of the Labour Party, in Kaura, Kaduna State, by unknown gunmen.Our Labour Party and her immediate and extended family are greatly affected by her passing.He tweeted on Tuesday, hours after the news broke, “She lives on in our hearts.”
I must make the fight against insecurity my first priority in the office because of her death and the numerous innocent lives that have been taken by gunmen and terrorists across the country.Under any pretense, we must not permit the loss of human life in Nigeria.
“May the departed Mrs. Victoria Chintex’s soul rest in peace!My deepest sympathies go out to her family.
