REFERENCING: Nigerian Military Ran Secret Mass Abortion Programme

A few weeks ago, the Nigerian military’s abortion attack made headlines in the newspapers. According to a Reuters report, that was the case. They said that the Nigerian military was running an abortion program that killed at least 10,000 children in the north-east of the country.

“Since at least 2013, the Nigerian Army has run a secret, systematic, and illegal abortion program in the country’s northeast, terminating at least 10,000 pregnancies among women and girls, many of whom had been kidnapped and raped by Islamist militants, according to dozens of witness accounts and documentation reviewed by Reuters,” the statement reads.

“The witness accounts indicate that the majority of the abortions were performed without the individual’s consent and frequently without their prior knowledge.” According to interviews and records, the women and girls were anywhere from a few weeks to eight months pregnant, and some were as young as 12 years old.

“This investigation is based on interviews with 33 women and girls who say they underwent abortions while they were in the custody of the Nigerian Army,” it went on to say. Only one stated that she freely consented. Five civilian healthcare professionals and nine security personnel, including soldiers and other government employees like armed guards who escorted pregnant women to abortion sites, were also interviewed by reporters. Reuters also looked at copies of military documents and civilian hospital records that listed or described thousands of abortions.”

It is evident that this report is not new. It has been there, and not just in Nigeria’s north-eastern region. It can be found in any state or region of Nigeria. In addition, I believe that it is a component of the orientation that the trained Nigerian military receives in their training camp. 70% of them are attacker. Do a little research anywhere there are Nigerian military personnel, even if there are only two or three of them, if you want to verify what I’m saying.

Rape is well-known among Nigerian military and paramilitary personnel. They rape women who are in their care. Some of the time, on the off chance that they charm a woman they like and she deny, they will deliberately blame her for carrying out some wrongdoing, in order to capture her. They will have an opportunity to rape and assault the woman in question once she is finally in their custody. They are skilled at gang raping women, as evidenced by numerous news reports of similar cases, even in Nigeria’s southern region.

Even in the Amnesty International investigation from June 3, 2015, titled “Star On Their Shoulder, Blood In Their Hands,” it is mentioned.

Reuters News deserves praise for their investigation and findings. But the truth is that it will not end because the military has made it part of its culture. Except if something as uncommon as thoroughly crumbling the sanctum of corruption(Nigeria) is finished.

May God continue to direct and shield these courageous reporters and investigators from the Nigerian military’s savagery.
