Shi’ites Development Charges Plot By Buhari Government To Stage Escapes And Fault Assaults On Islamic Organization

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), more commonly referred to as “Shi’ites,” has claimed that it discovered a plan by the Nigerian government to carry out jailbreaks in particular regions of the country and attribute the attacks to the movement.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as well as correctional facilities in the states of Adamawa, Yobe, Kaduna, Sokoto, and Katsina, according to IMN, are the intended targets of the planned attacks.

According to the movement, the plot is a deliberate attempt by President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to continue its assault on its leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, according to all indications.

This was made clear by IMN in a statement that Halima Aliyu, speaking on behalf of the movement’s Academic Forum, released on Thursday in Abuja.

According to the sect, the plan is in a document that was sent to the Minister of Interior and allegedly written by David Attah; Police Inspector General; Abuja-based Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service; also, the Commandant-General, Nigeria Security and Common Guard Corps, Abuja.

The statement went on to say that, contrary to what is being speculated, the sect does not intend to attack correctional facilities or centers; rather, it is a ruse to launch yet another attack on the movement, just as the military did in December 2015 when it “hid under the blockage of the road for Lt. The Zaria massacre was carried out by former Chief of Army Staff Gen. Tukur Burutai.

The assertion read, “We might want to illuminate the public that the Buhari system is intending to execute another jail break in the nation and push the fault on the Islamic development under the administration of his distinction Sheik Ibraheem Ya’qoub El-Zakzaky (H); to make room for a second assault on the movement.

“All indications point to Buhari’s intention to continue his assault on Sheikh Zakzaky (H) in order to provide him with some scorecards from the project to carry out the Zaria massacre, which was a failure.

“A document written by David Attah and sent to the Minister of Interior contains the planned prison break and illegal attack on the Islamic movement; Police Inspector General; Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and Controller-General of the Nigeria Correctional Service both reside in Abuja.

“David Attah is a director in the Special Services Office of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. In a letter dated December 8, 2022, he wrote, referring to the document W.I.S.19/107, “I am to draw your attention to the report which revealed the plan by the Islamic movement to attack some correctional centres and facilities in Adamawa, Yobe, Kaduna, Sokoto, Katsina states and the FCT.”

“It is worth noting that the Islamic movement is accusing the Federal Government of Nigeria of conspiring with the United States of America (USA) to eliminate their leader, his eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Ya’qoub El-Zakzaky (H),” David Attah continued. David Attah concluded his letter by instructing the Minister of Interior, IGP, CG of Nigeria’s Correctional Service, and CG of Nigeria’s Security and Civil Defence Corps to take any appropriate action.

The IMN called the claim ridiculous and compared it to the report from the Kaduna Judicial Commission of Inquiry (JCI), which said that the Nigerian Army’s “Cordon and Search Operation” that led to the pogrom was “in contravention of the provision of Section 8 of the Armed Forces Act No. 24 of 1994.”

As a result, the statement urged Nigerians to hold the President accountable for the attack on the Kuje correctional center in Abuja in July and pledged to continue the protest against the Nigerian government’s refusal to release Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky’s travel documents.

“The public should firmly hold Mohammed Babagana Monguno, Boss Gidahyelda Mustapha, and David Attah responsible for whatever happens to the aforementioned correctional centers.”

“On our side, we are squarely holding Buhari responsible for anything that happens to our leader Sheikh Ibraheem Ya’qoub El-Zakzaky (H) since the massacre in Zaria in 2015.”

The statement continued, “Finally, we are determined to continue protesting against the travel ban placed on our leader by the Buhari regime and to demand the release of Sheikh Ibraheem Ya’qoub El-Zakzaky (H) and his wife Zeenah Ibraheem’s travel documents.”
