‘Stop disgracing yourselves,’ Kwankwaso knocks Obasanjo, Clark for endorsing Peter Obi

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, or NNPP, has criticized former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Edwin Clark, the leader of the Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), for publicly supporting Obi for the presidency in 2023.

Kwankwaso made the observation that anyone who is regarded as a statesman should not endorse candidates in advance of the Nigerian presidential election on February 25.

Before Kwankwaso’s presidential campaign began in the state, Governor Godwin Obaseki hosted him at the Government House.

The NNPP presidential candidate, on the other hand, insisted that these endorsements were based solely on religious and ethnic sentiments and have no bearing on the electorate, which, in his opinion, is now much more educated.

“Some of the people supporting and endorsing Mr. A or Mr. B, I think it is a big mistake,” Kwankwaso stated. I admire these leaders. You reach a point in your life when you stop being a politician and become a true statesman.

“I can also assure you that any candidate or party that comes out with the face of ethnicity or the issue of religion has failed that election before it even starts,” she added.

Keep in mind that Clark and Obasanjo have endorsed Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi within the past three days.

Evidently, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have responded to Obi’s endorsement.
