The Buhari administration has normalized Southeast injustice and hypocrisy – IPOB lawyer

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, legal counselor to Nnamdi Kanu, the head of the Native Nation of Biafra (IPOB), has censured the Mohammadu Buhari-drove Central Government for the IPOB pioneer’s proceeded with detainment.
Ejiofor slammed the Federal Government of Nigeria for enforcing nepotism and “selective justice” in the handling of Nnamdi Kanu’s case in a statement that was made available to AF24NEWS on Friday.
The IPOB lawyer criticized the FG for keeping Kanu in custody despite the Appeal Court’s order to release him, while criminals and terrorists with blood on their hands are free to roam the nation.
He said, “The specific and disproportionate ‘equity’ framework in Nigeria is so glaring so that even the visually impaired might be able to see.
“I just watched a video of a non-state actor named Asari Dokubo escorting a group of men carrying a variety of guns and ammunition.Consider for a moment what would have transpired in the Southeast of Nigeria if this had occurred;or if this was carried out by someone associated in any way with Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu or the Indigenous People of Biafra.
ALSO READ:“Recently, we read the news that the DSS had withdrawn the suit it filed against Tukur Mamu, the alleged terrorist negotiator,” IPOB lawyer Ejiofor says of the FG’s new charges against Nnamdi Kanu.Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who has been released by the Court of Appeal since October 13, 2022, is still being held by the same DSS, despite the prohibition of further detention by the Penultimate Court.
“Same DSS is still incarcerating my innocent domestic staff who were abducted on June 6, 2021, during the bloody invasion of my ancestral home;and whose unconditional release the Court has ordered.
‘While Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been languishing in solitary confinement in the DSS custody for more than 17 months for merely exercising his fundamental rights to self-determination, which are guaranteed by the existing Nigerian Constitution and other international laws, treaties, and conventions, Bello Turji Kachalla, more commonly referred to as Turji, is walking around free.
“They might play the ostrich all they need, however the obvious truth is that there is a different “equity” framework, explicitly cut out for individuals from the south-eastern piece of Nigeria. We will challenge this in court as a form of discrimination that the amended 1999 Constitution explicitly prohibits.
According to the Appeal Court’s ruling, the Federal Government of Nigeria must immediately release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The time is now, too!
“While innocent Biafrans who are genuinely exercising their constitutionally guaranteed rights to self-determination are being ferociously hunted down, killed, and/or dumped in various detention facilities in Nigeria without being tried, the Federal Government of Nigeria should desist from romancing with real terrorists.
“The Federal Government of Nigeria must end selective justice, pursue the genuine terrorists, and release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in accordance with the Appeal Court’s order.”
