The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide family and movement, led by Mazi Nnamdi Okwu Kanu, the Prophet, wishes to draw the public’s attention to the Nigeria DSS press release that dismisses our leader’s deteriorating health and labels IPOB’s press releases as political statements. We would like to reaffirm to the DSS and the general public that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s deteriorating health is real and not a political statement. The Nigerian government and its secret police, the DSS, are well aware that Mazi Nnamdi KANU’s health is deteriorating due to their poisoning, denial of adequate medication for his known condition, and torture by starvation as he continues to be illegally held in solitary confinement by the DSS.
We will not be distracted by the ranting in the DSS press statement, which was released by anonymous individuals to try to downplay the dire health situation of the Indigenous People of Biafra leader. This is done to divert attention from the alarm that has been raised regarding their intention to covertly and methodically eliminate our leader. Since IPOB has no interest in Nigerian politics, the Nigerian government ought to be aware of this by now. The government is free to engage in political games with anything, but not with our leader’s life.
Since the second week of December 2022, the DSS should explain why they have denied Mazi Nnamdi KANU access to a doctor. Why has he not been permitted to take his prescribed medications? It is known that Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu KANU has a severe illness and is dying slowly in solitary confinement at the DSS. In the event that anything should happen to Ndigbo, IPOB members worldwide and Ndigbo will not accept any explanation from anyone.
We maintain our position that Mazi Nnamdi KANU was poisoned while being held in DSS isolation. If DSS denies this, we demand that IPOB leaders and lawyers be given permission to bring in independent medical professionals to perform extensive medical examinations on our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU.
Alternately, the Director of the DSS ought to take Mazi Nnamdi KANU to a hospital for a full medical examination, and the results ought to be made available to the public. We demand to know why the food he consumes and the smell of his stomach emanate from his mouth.
Any additional individuals issuing counterpress releases claiming that Mazi Nnamdi KANU is not poisoned must be aware that, in the event of anything unfavorable happening to him, they will comprehend that this is not a brother or sister issue. Biafrans will treat such heartless individuals as enemies.
Mazi Nnamdi KANU is a household name. He is representing Biafrans rather than his family. Because of his family’s history, he was not taken, detained, or illegally transferred. No, it was because he demanded a referendum and freedom for Biafra.
Therefore, the struggle for his release is a national responsibility for all Biafrans and supporters of freedom, not just those who might be blood relatives.
We reiterate our request to the Nigerian government to immediately and unconditionally release Mazi Nnamdi KANU in accordance with the ruling of the Nigerian Appeal Court that has ordered his discharge and acquittal since October 13, 2022. This will allow us to obtain a proper medical examination for him and prevent any unanticipated events. Because Mazi Nnamdi KANU is not involved in politics in Nigeria, the Nigerian government must refrain from playing with his life. Over 80 million Biafrans’ existence and future are symbolized by Mazi. Many people have risked their lives for him, and many of them are prepared to do so once more if necessary. Nine are spared by a single stitch.
