Tony Nnadi Was Neither Part Of Nnamdi Kanu’s Legal Team Nor Did Anything To Secure His Release — Barr Ejiofor Reacts

SAHARANEWS – Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor the Lawyer to Indigeneous People of Biafra leader – Nnamdi Kanu, and general counsel to IPOB, has described as false the claim by one Tony Nnadi of the Lower Niger Congress (LNC) who said he was part of the team that ensured the release of Nnamdi Kanu from detention.

In a statement titled ʼTony Nnadi’s Delusional and Unfounded Claimsʼ, Ejiofor said;

“I have watched with keen interest the sudden twist on the path of deception being navigated by Tony Nnadi. I was tempted to caution him in the past but refrained from doing so because our people are now better informed than ever. I then decided to allow him to continue with his desperate and self-destructive hunt for fame.

“It is to be placed on record that Tony Nnadi, who I am not certain of his status as a lawyer, did not play any role whatsoever in the release of the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He was never part of our legal team, neither did he participate in any of the court proceedings in any manner. My first encounter with Tony Nnadi was on a day he walked up to me after a court session to greet me, this encounter took place within the vicinity of Federal High Court Abuja and not even inside the court’s room. I recall vividly that it was the day the last bail application was taken for the release of my client Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He was bold enough to commend my masterful hadling of the proceedings and my weighty submissions in court. Until that day, I never knew he was a lawyer as I had never encountered him before then.

“After exchanging pleasantries with him, he introduced himself as Tony Nnadi, a lawyer, and indicated interest to be part of my team. I told him to wait untill Ruling on my application is delivered. I did not set my eyes on Tony Nnadi again, even after the Ruling was delivered in our favour, and my Client was consequently granted bail.

“He was never part of our legal team, neither did he play any role in the case. He was nowhere to be seen even at the time my client’s bail was being perfected. Though we have seen a number of charlatans masquerading as lawyers on social platforms claiming to be part of the legal team that secured Nnamdi Kanu’s release.

“As you all are fully aware, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s name is synonymous with fame, success, victory and recognition, so anyone aspiring to be famous will quickly connect his name to that of IPOB leader’s and Tony Nnadi is not left out of this group of persons.

“I later became aware of his connections with the Nigerian establishment and his dubious undertakings on their behalf and assurances to frustrate the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in the hope of derailing the quest for freedom by IPOB. Having failed in that endeavour, he doubled down on his efforts to character assassinate my Client that did nothing to offend him. Tony Nnadi forgot that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is on a divine mandate and as such is indestructible by any man. He is God’s annointed, the chosen one, a liberator and fearless leader. Tony Nnadi should be wise to heed Biblical edict of “touch not My anointed and do My prophet no harm”

“Please Umuchineke, kindly ignore the attention seeking drowning man, apparently looking for escape route out of the commitment he made to his establishment handlers.

“Tony Nnadi recently joined Due Process Advicate(DPA) a group that has gained notoriety for fraud. Simply Google DPA and read up the rest. So it may not be surprising that many people are falling victim to Tony Nnadi’s notorious style of claiming credit for things he never did.”
