Until Nnamdi Kanu is release, Nigeria won’t know peace, according to actress Rita Edochie.

Rita Edochie, a well-known Nollywood actress and television personality, has stated that Nigeria will never experience peace until Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is released by the federal government.
She expressed her disapproval of Nnamdi Kanu’s continued detention following the Appeal Court’s decision and warned that if anything were to happen to him while he was in custody, it would be the worst experience.
The actress, in a post that she posted on her Instagram page on Monday, urged the people of the south-east to band together and demand Kanu’s release. However, she also made the observation that the south-east would never be able to achieve its goal of running for president without Kanu’s support.
She stated, “Nigeria will continue to be divided by Mazi Nnamdi Okwu Kanu’s continued detention.”Nigeria will never experience peace while Kanu is incarcerated.I laugh with the Igbo, and the Igbo awaken.Without Mazi Nnamdi Okwu Kanu, Onye Igbo will never be able to smell the presidency.
It’s a spiritual experience.God will triumph over your enemies if you fight first for your own.Ndi Igbo wouldn’t let anything happen to our great brother Nnamdi Kanu because it would be the worst thing that could happen to us.Ndi Igbo is waiting for Chukwu okike abiama to act.God is awake and active.
In October 2022, the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal cleared Kanu of the federal government’s 15 counts of terrorism. In a unanimous decision, the appellate court criticized the way Kanu was brought before the Federal High Court to answer to the 15 counts of terrorism.
Following his illegal arrest and extradition from Kenya to Nigeria in June 2021, the separatist leader has been held by the Department of State Services (DSS).
In response to years of campaigning for the independent Republic of Biafra through IPOB, the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, filed charges against Kanu at the High Court that are bordering on treason.
