UPDATE:PDP will bounce back, says Saraki

In order to express their dissatisfaction with the unfulfilled promises made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration headed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, hundreds of youth members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State staged a peaceful rally in Ilorin, the state capital.
They claimed that the APC-led administration’s “Otoge” campaign, which promised better governance prior to the 2019 general election, deceived the public.
Tending to the young in Ilorin, previous Senate President Bukola Saraki, depicted the occasion as an unconstrained response to what the young people have experienced because of the decision party at the state and public levels.
He added: “On the street, these are regular people saying, “O su wa,” which means “we are tied.”When you consider the price of a bag of rice and garri, the problem of insecurity, and every other negative indicator that is afflicting the nation, why would they not be?The narrative is identical.
However, “the people want a different direction and a greener pasture in this country, which only the PDP can offer.”
Otukoko Olayinka, one of the youth leaders, stated that supporters of the “Otoge” struggles have not lived up to their promises in 2019.He stated, “The Otoge struggle’s supporters at the time made numerous promises to the Kwara people for 2019.They’ve not satisfied one-fourth of it.As a result, the PDP youth in Kwara came together under the slogan “o su wa” (we are exhausted). What this implies basically is that costs of food things and fuel have gone deplorably excessively high since the rise of the APC government. The current situation is one of insecurity. The crowd is groaning.Kwarans have not received the benefits of democracy that the Otoge crusaders promised in 2019.
He continued:We are stating that this cannot continue.Competence and good governance were demonstrated by the previous PDP government in power. We now know that the APC failed to deliver on its promises to the state’s residents.
The youth constituency in Kwara represents the people who are fed up with the APC government. We want to get rid of the current government in 2023 and replace it with competent, capable leaders who have done it before and can do it again.
