US VISA BAN: FG Establishes Committee to See That Nigeria Meets Up With US Requirements

SAHARANEWS – The US President, Donald Trump had placed Nigeria immigrants on ban from getting the American visa.



Following Trump’s decision, SaharaNews reports that the Nigerian government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has responded to the ban by establishing a committee to see that Nigeria meets up with the US new requirements.

The report revealed that committee will be chaired by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola and will work with US Government, Interpol and other relevant stakeholders.

Below is the statement released by the Federal Government,

SUSPENSION OF ISSUANCE OF IMMIGRANT VISAS TO NIGERIANS:



Pres. Muhammadu Buhari has established a committee, to be Chaired by the Minister of Interior, to study & address updated U.S. requirements relating to the assessment of compliance with certain security criteria by foreign govts.

The committee will work with the U.S Government, INTERPOL and other stakeholders to ensure all updates are properly implemented.
