Mr. Agboola Ajayi, the former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, has stated that the people of the state are ready to support the People’s Democratic Party candidates in the upcoming general election.
During the Ondo South Senatorial District PDP Campaign flag-off in Okitipupa town in the Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state, Ajayi said that only the PDP could change the narrative of the country for the better. He said that the ruling All Progressives Congress was a political party that was “dead” and had nothing good to offer the country any longer.
Ajayi, the PDP’s senatorial candidate in the upcoming general election for the Ondo South Senatorial District, stated that the country needed to vote out the APC government in the general elections in a month.
Ajayi stated, “Our people are tired of the APC government, and we are not worried about the issue of vote buying because it will not work at all in Ondo South Senatorial District” while addressing the massive crowd of party supporters at the rally. Our people are prepared to vote out APC with determination.
“Our people are not going to compromise their integrity or rights, and they are prepared to vote for all PDP candidates in every election. We all know that Ondo South is for the PDP.
“We are aware of the issue in our Senatorial District; the primary issue is electricity, and God will use us to resolve it. We can assure you that the electricity will be restored in all affected areas if we vote for the PDP within six months.
“I brought the 132 KVA substation in Okitipupa when I was deputy governor; however, things were not going well since we left the government. However, I want to reassure you and everyone else in the Ondo South Senatorial District that the work will be finished and that electricity will be provided. We are going to Abuja to effectively represent you.
He urged the entire Ondo South electorate to significantly support the PDP in the general elections on February 25, 2023.
Dr. Eddy Olafeso, a former PDP National Vice Chairman (South-West), addressed the gathering and stated that the party was united and prepared to participate in the election with one voice.
“We are moving forward to win this election because the APC government has been a very tragic experience for the people of Nigeria for the past seven and a half years. We are one family that is indivisible and united.
We are going to demonstrate it this time that the PDP is well-known in the Ondo South Senatorial District. This marks the beginning of the PDP’s victory in Ondo South, Ondo State, and all of Nigeria.
