SAHARANEWS – A Port Harcourt-based human and environmental activist, Ms. Annkio Briggs has said that the Supreme Court ruling that ousted Governor Emeka Ihedioha was Satan’s handiwork.
Ms. Briggs stated this in a memo made available to ElombahNews on Wednesday.
Recall that the Supreme Court, in its ruling, declared Senator Hope Uzodinma winner of the March 9, 2019, governorship election held in the state and ordered Governor Ihedioha to vacate seat immediately.
Consequently, the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] issued Uzodinma with Certificate of Return on Wednesday and few hours later he was sworn in as the sixth governor of the state.
Responding to the political upheaval, however, Annkio Briggs said that “What [Satan] meant for evil, God has turned around for good and freedom of not only Imo State but Ala Igbo” in general.
Addressing His Excellency Hon. Emeka Ihedioha while referring to his wife, Ebere, she said:
“Ndewo! [Thank you!] With this woman who has your heart in her heart, l know that you know this is nothing.
“This judgment is the beginning of the shame of politics in Nigeria
“You will be referred to when the sins and shame of Nigeria, the thieves and murderers of Democracy will be recalled.
“When their children and grand children will be taunted yours will be hailed.
“With your darling loving wife Ebere by your side you will yet in the future lead not only Imo people whose rights have been raped but Ndi Igbo.”
Wishing Ihedioha better days ahead, she continued:
“I pray Ndi Igbo will not forget or forgive their own people who held Ndi Igbo down while the gg re of Imo State took place, they not only gleefully watched this heinous assualt take place they joined in the rape.
“I am sure just as my people will be free one day your own process to freedom have begun.
“You are a great man, a strong man and you will be stronger as you start the process to free your people.
“Goodluck and GOD bless you and guide in the next phase of your lifting.
“Give my love and highest regard to your strong and beautiful wife.
“I respect and love you, your wife and family.”
