2023 Census: Return home—IPOB tells Igbos in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria—IPOB PRESS RELEASE 06/04/2023 We, the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), ably led by the great and indefatigable leader Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu KANU, draw the attention of Biafrans living in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria to return home and be counted during this upcoming population census We will use the upcoming Nigerian government census to figure out how many people live in Biafra Territory and how many amenities we need there.
We will be able to estimate the Biafran population in Nigeria with the assistance of the mass return of our people during the upcoming population census. As a result, we must stop taking advantage of the opportunity presented by the Nigerian government. They have always asserted to the world that we are a minuscule population of dots. The Biafra agitation is rapidly gaining international attention, so now is the time to inform the world of Nigeria’s Biafran population. There is no way to stop Biafra from happening. This population census will provide another opportunity to collect additional evidence that IPOB is gradually removing all obstacles to our freedom.
It should never be permitted for those who disenfranchised Biafrans during the most recent fraudulent elections to use us to increase their population. While they deny Biafrans the opportunity to freely participate in national issues in their territories, they have always used the population of Biafra for higher allocations. It’s time we utilize our tongue to count our teeth. As a result, the IPOB is urging all Biafrans living in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria to return to the East so that they can be counted in their home state. Benevolently ignore any declaration from any quarter, particularly from government organizations asking individuals not to return to their condition of beginning during the evaluation. Don’t fall for their lies. Even though we are a tiny part of the machine, the same goal is to keep deceiving the world.
Make sure that you and your family are not counted outside of Biafra Land if you are unable to travel there to be counted. We must definitively disprove them.
To make it possible for those who wish to travel to the East to be counted, IPOB will work with Transport Owners to convince them to participate in this project. We are requesting all well-intentioned Igbo businessmen, entrepreneurs, senators, ministers, commissioners, and members of the Eastern States House of Assembly to contribute in some way to ensuring that our people return home during this population census.
Governors of Biafra land and Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide must demonstrate their concern for our people’s humiliation in this country. The mass return of our people to participate in this population count has numerous advantages, including: validating our majority population in Nigeria, which has previously been manipulated, abused, and used to attract higher allocations from the federal government to other states. However, they can now assist us in planning for the amenities needed in Biafraland, such as industrial parks and international markets. Above all, a precise count of our kin will assist with helping the Biafra Autonomy development.
We are aware that our adversaries will want to continue the age-old census manipulation they began in 1948, but we will devise a plan to determine our actual population during this particular census. When they get to the Abuja office of the National Population Council, they will, as usual, manipulate the actual population figures. However, prior to that time, our people must have gathered accurate population data from every village, local government, and level. It is our duty to inform the world of the size of our population, which has been manipulated in favor of other states for many years.
We urge all Biafrans living outside of Biafra to return to their homes for the 2023 population census. This will be essential for the false mandate to show our global companions the genuine populace of Biafra. Our population should be counted, captured, and protected for future reference by all Village Heads, Traditional Rulers, and PGs. EVERY BIAFRAN LIVING IN LAGOS, AND VERY SPECIFICALLY IN LAGOS, NEEDS TO COME HOME TO ENSURE THAT HE OR SHE WAS NOT COUNTED IN LAGOS. THEY NEED US, AND WE NEED TO GO. Make sure you are not counted in Lagos if you are not returning home.
