Buhari’s minister, Keyamo blames PDP for ASUU strike

The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, has been faulted for the continuous strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities in Nigeria.

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labor and Employment, who accused the PDP, said the ASUU strike is the consequence of a 2009 understanding endorsed by the ideological group organization.

He told Trust TV’s Daily Politics on Monday that the PDP government didn’t follow the arrangement endorsed with ASUU.

As per him, this isn’t whenever ASUU first has set out on a strike. “Somewhere in the range of 1999 and 2015 when they gave over to the APC, ASUU was protesting multiple times. I have the measurements adding up to 900 days,” he said.

Keyamo who is additionally the All Progressives Congress (APC) representative for Presidential Campaign Council, expressed that the APC government is giving its very best for end the strike and permit understudies to get back to colleges the nation over.
