Obi’s victory sign Nigerians are fed up — Abia Elders

When the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, resumes election collation procedures later today (Tuesday), the Labour Party, LP has insisted that its national collation agent will not return to the National Collation Centre.

In an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday, a spokesperson for Peter Obi’s Datti Baba-Ahmed Presidential Campaign Council, Ndi Kato, stated that “the walk-out at the National Collation Centre yesterday (Monday) is enough of a statement and it stands.”

Keep in mind that on Monday, representatives of major opposition parties walked out of the national collation center in Abuja in protest of the exercise.

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members Dino Melaye and Emeka Ihedioha had complained that INEC had broken the Electoral Act by continuing with the collation and announcement of results despite not uploading them to the iREV portal.

In a similar vein, agents from other parties, such as those from the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP), had joined the walkout as well.
