ScotRail reassures women after group of men ‘boast’ about rape on Glasgow train

The woman said the service between Glasgow Central and Kilwinning was unmanned, and left two disabled women and an autistic teenage girl in an unsafe environment.

ScotRail has issued a statement reassuring women after a group of men were alleged to have boasted about rape on a Glasgow train sparking fear amongst passengers.

A woman who was travelling on the unmanned service from Glasgow Central to Kilwinning on Sunday, reported that she heard three men speak openly about raping women. The woman, who said a disabled woman and teenage girl were also onboard, said she felt unsafe on the service.

The woman, who said a disabled woman and teenage girl were also onboard, said she felt unsafe on the service.Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, she said: “I’d like to thank @ScotRail for leaving two disabled women and an autistic 13yr old girl on an unmanned train with three animals/men who talked from Glasgow Central to Kilwinning about how many women they raped and shared around their gang and who they fantasise raping.
