Abia State governor, Alex Otti visited Ariaria market, Aba, as he ordered security agencies to stop hostility and reprisal against traders in the market, IGBERETV reports.
Otti shared photos from his visit with the caption;
“This morning, I was at Ariaria International Market, where I urged an immediate cessation of hostility and reprisal against traders in the wake of the tragic demise of two policemen. My heart goes out to the victims’ families and the Nigerian Police Force.
I firmly believe in the power of peaceful resolution. Therefore, I implore all involved parties to maintain calm and engage in constructive dialogue.
I have instructed traders to assist security operatives in identifying the culprits while ensuring their safety to continue business activities.”
