The head of Directorate of State for the Indigenous People of Biafra, Chika Edoziem, said the group would ensure that Biafraland is self-sufficient in meat and farm produce.
In a statement published on Twitter on Thursday, Edoziem said:
“Our Food Security is not just a national security issue to Biafrans, but It is also Existential.
“We can not allow those that have committed pogrom and Genocide against us who are waiting in the wings for another opportunity to commit the same evil to be in control of what we consume as a people because that will simply amount to committing a National suicide.
“Nations around the world subsidize their farmers in other to keep their destiny in their own hands. Every free space in Biafraland must be converted into farmland in the Short term.
“We are not only going to be self-sufficient in meat production but also in other farm produce such as Rice, Onion, Tomatoes, potatoes and what have you. We are blessed with one of the most fertile lands in the world and must therefore put that endowment to very good use.”
