China, India, Mexico, others plan new interests in Nigeria
Diplomats from the Chinese, Indian, Mexican and Indonesian legislatures have said that they will keep on extending interest in the Nigerian economy.
The agents talked at the Global Business Meeting and Exhibition 2023, coordinated by the Lagos Office of Trade and Industry with the subject, ‘Contribute Nigeria’.
In his comments, the Chinese envoy to Nigeria, Jian Chun, said the Chinese government would to develop its binds with Nigeria through reasonable ventures.
He noticed that numerous Chinese organizations, for example, Huawei had proactively started to combine their presence in Nigeria through essential ventures.
India’s Minister to Nigeria, Shri Balasubramanian, expressed that in the beyond forty years, India had made ventures crossing across the drug, food and assembling areas as much as $19bn.
“In this way, there have been a ton of speculations, a ton of undertakings in Nigeria over the most recent forty years,” he said.
He said plans were right now above water to make interests in new regions, for example, environmentally friendly power because of requests occasioned by the changing times that we live in.
The Indonesian Minister to Nigeria, Usra Harahap, depicted Nigeria as its essential accomplice in Africa. He stated that the Southeast Asian nation would strengthen its economic ties with Nigeria.
Alfredo Miranda, the Mexican ambassador to Nigeria, stated that his nation would improve economic ties with Nigeria.
Michael Olawale-Cole, President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said in his opening remarks that the conference was a great opportunity to talk about the Nigerian economy and find investment opportunities.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos State, stated, accompanied by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Gboyega Shoyanwo, that a vibrant investment landscape was necessary for sustainable development.
