A gunman was captured and set on fire on Tuesday as his friends escaped during an unsuccessful operation at Ifite in Awka, Anambra State.
Locals told GIST BRIEFLY that the bandit who was set on fire at Miracle Junction in Ifite was captured at Unizik Permanent Site.
“He and others were heavily armed,” said a resident who said they had come to rob the area.
“Others ran away and left him,” said a member of local vigilante.
