As the search for the missing proceeded in isolated towns on Sunday, survivors of Morocco’s deadliest earthquake in more than 60 years struggled to find food, water, and shelter. The death toll of more than 2,100 was set to increase further.

Following the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred late on Friday, many individuals spent a third night outdoors. Reaching the worst-affected villages in the High Atlas, a rough mountain terrain where populations are sometimes inaccessible and many homes are in disrepair, is a problem for relief personnel.

Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese football player, has given his Marrakech hotel as a place for earthquake survivors to stay.

On the outskirts of the city, there is a 174-room hotel called the Pestana CR7 Marrakech. According to reports, the hotel is giving earthquake victims food, drink, and shelter.
