Nigerians Are Hungry, Facing Hardships – Emir Of Kano Tells Tinubu

Emir Aminu Ado Bayero of Kano has urged affluent individuals in Nigeria to lend a helping hand to those in need within their communities. He made this call during an interview with journalists on Saturday, in observance of World First Aid Day.

The emir emphasized that Nigerians are currently experiencing challenging times, with some people going to bed hungry for two or more days. He appealed to fellow citizens to extend assistance to one another, regardless of differences in religion, tribe, or culture, with the goal of fostering a harmonious society.

“I am appealing to the wealthier members of communities across Nigeria to aid those facing hardships and hunger due to the current tough economic conditions in the country,” he stated, as reported by NAN.

Emir Bayero also encouraged Nigerians to maintain a sense of hope, emphasizing that the current economic difficulties are temporary and will eventually become a thing of the past, as no condition remains permanent. He stressed that acts of assistance should not be limited to times of disaster but should be a continuous practice.

Furthermore, he highlighted that helping those in need is a form of aid, and presently, more people than ever require assistance. He urged the government to take note of the hardships faced by the populace and work to find solutions, especially for the vulnerable members of society.
