Eid-el-fitri: FG Declares April 21st, 24th As Public Holidays

To commemorate this year’s EIDIL-FITR Celebration, the Federal Government has declared Friday, April 21 and Monday, April 24 to be Public Holidays.

On behalf of the Federal Government, the Interior Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, issued the statement. He congratulates all Muslims on their successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Ogbeni Aregbesola encourages all Muslims to adopt and practice the virtues of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, self-denial, sacrifice, and good neighborliness that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) exemplified.

“Oneself control, forbearance, penance and profound otherworldly cognizance that went with the fasting time frame shouldn’t end yet be kept up with and enhanced, to be a superior individual and genuine admirer”, the pastor exhorts all Muslims.

Ogbeni Aregbesola guarantees that President Muhammadu Buhari is completely dedicated to tranquil progress of government following fruitful races. He says that the government is committed to protecting every citizen and foreigner’s life and property in the country.

The Minister commends all security agencies for their accomplishments in the nationwide fight against criminals.

Noting that security is everyone’s responsibility, he encourages Nigerians to participate in the nation’s security architecture by being vigilant and reporting suspicious individuals and activities to local law enforcement agencies. He scolds Nigerians likewise to report dubious exercises and people to the N-Ready application.
