Army Beat 12 LASTMA Officials For Capturing Armed force Boss More than One-Way

Last weekend, soldiers reportedly went on the offensive and beat officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) along the Costain-Apapa region of the state for daring to impound a senior officer’s vehicle because he drove “One way” against traffic.

Due to a traffic violation in Costain, the senior military personnel was stopped and his official vehicle was impounded.

It was learned that the military officer left the scene because he felt disrespected by the way the LASTMA officers treated him. A few minutes later, some soldiers showed up and went after every LASTMA officer they saw.

The officials were said to have been attacked by the soldiers, who then took them to their barracks and beat them before releasing them.
It was accumulated that the battered LASTMA authorities were thusly taken to emergency clinic for the injury supported during the experience.

After apologies were offered, peace was later restored between the parties.

They began raiding our officers at the Costain Roundabout, Sifax, and Total Bridge, Apapa, on Friday around 5 p.m. At Areas “B” Oriyomi, the highest-ranking officer, known as Bravo, was taken away.

“One of the invading soldiers claimed that one of their bosses had been arrested in the morning for taking one way,” the soldiers said.

They then pursued every LASTMA officer they could see from Costain to Apapa. Twelve officers were selected from among the various locations at the conclusion of the rampage.

Balogun Sadiq, Ayoade Abideen, Adebayo Tunde, Kazeem Abensin, Rafiu Rasaki, Oloyede, and Logunleko Oriyomi are among the officers.

Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, the State Commissioner for Transportation in Lagos, criticized the rate at which military personnel, police officers, and others violate the state’s traffic laws with impunity while responding to the incessant assaults on LASTMA employees.

“The law is no respecter of anyone and must be obeyed at all times,” he said.

Oladeinde said in a statement that the state government was curious about why officers, who should be in charge of traffic laws, work against it. He said that the government had decided not to let the danger go unchecked.

While asking all security organizations to show excellent direct by driving the manner in which in submitting to the transit regulations of the state, that’s what oladeinde cautioned “any type of actual attack of the state transit regulation authorization officials by the failing security work force will never again be endured.”
