BREAKING: Antonio Conte to undergo surgery after ‘severe’ abdominal pain

Antonio Conte, the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, is scheduled to have surgery right away after experiencing severe abdominal pain early on Wednesday morning.

Conte was diagnosed with Cholecystitis following the abdominal pain, and he will have his gallbladder removed right away.

Following the surgery, the Italian manager is likely to miss a number of games.

His assistant Cristian Stellini is expected to take charge of the Sunday matchup against Manchester City, Tottenham’s next Premier League opponent.

The club said in a statement on Wednesday, “Antonio recently became unwell with severe abdominal pain.” He will undergo surgery to remove his gallbladder today (Wednesday) following a diagnosis of cholecystitis. Following a period of recuperation, he will return. He has everyone’s best wishes at the club.

The condition known as cholecystitis causes the gallbladder to become red and swollen.
