BREAKING: INEC demand that Adamawa REC be prosecuted.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Adamawa State, Hudu Ari, will be investigated and prosecuted by writing to the Inspector General of Police, Baba Ahmed.

At the technical meeting that the INEC national commissioners attended on Tuesday in Abuja, the commission made its decision.

INEC additionally chose to compose the Secretary to the Public authority of the League, Supervisor Mustapha, to brief the President, Significant General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), about the REC’s actions.

“Write to the Inspector-General of Police asking for the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Adamawa State, Barr, to be investigated right away and possibly prosecuted. Hudu Ari.

“Request the Secretary to the Government of the Federation to bring the unsavory behavior of the REC to the attention of the appointing authority so that further action can be taken.”

The PUNCH reports that all Public Chiefs of INEC were from the get-go in a shut entryway meeting at the commission’s base camp in Abuja.

The gathering came scarcely 24 hours after the electing umpire requested Ari to avoid the commission’s state office in Adamawa.

Ari’s declaration that the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Aisha Dahiru, more commonly referred to as Binani, would be the governor-elect in the supplementary election on Saturday was the basis for INEC’s action.
