BREAKING: Panics Among Residents As Soldiers Storm Rivers Community After Oil Spill – See Photos


SAHARANEWS – Residents of Bodo community in Gokana Local Government Area of River state have been gripped with fear following heavy military presence in the community.

The military men storms the region days after a fresh oil spill from installations owned by Shell took over portions of the community waters without any intervention leading to widespread protest in the community.

According to the villagers, the military presence is as a result of the protest by the Bodo people against ‘fresh phase of environmental degradation’.
