BREAKING:Anxiety as Nnamdi Kanu’s case is heard by the Supreme Court today

The appeal filed by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), regarding his ongoing detention at the Department of State Services (DSS), will be heard by the Supreme Court on Thursday (today).

The secessionist had appealed the Court of Appeal’s decision that prevented him from being released from DSS custody on November 3, 2022, at the Supreme Court.

Kalu filed an appeal against the Court of Appeal’s decision on October 28, 2022, which stayed the execution of its previous order acquitting him of all charges and ordering his release from the secret police’s custody.

The IPOB’s lead attorney, Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, said in a statement on Thursday that the appeal will be heard on Thursday morning.

He was hopeful that God’s grace would “prevail in judgment over today’s outing at the Supreme Court,” as he put it.

The following is a portion of the statement: “Please be informed, Ezigbo Umuchineke, that the Supreme Court of Nigeria will hear appeal over the continued illegal detention of our indefatigable Client – Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu this morning.”

“We are absolutely certain in our belief that the Mighty Chukwu Okike Abiama will completely take charge of the events of today.”
