BREAKING:Gunmen attack Nigerian soldiers in Imo

Outfitted men on Monday went after troopers at Izombe people group in Imo State, Capt. Joseph Akubo representative for 34 Mounted guns Detachment of the Nigerian Armed force in Obinze said.

Akubo told newsmen in Owerri that the officers went under assault during a standard watch in the oil-rich local area where a shootout among shooters and warriors had left regular people dead.

The military representative who depicted the aggressors as “outfitted young people” said the fighters where locally to checkmate wrongdoings.

Loss figure was not affirmed during the preparation by Akubo on Monday, however reports by local people said three individuals passed on in the episode which likewise prompted capture of certain occupants by the fighters.
