Conditional Cash Transfer: Tinubu’s Aide, Nweze Vows To Include South East

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, South East, Mrs Chioma Nweze has assured that there will be total inclusion of the South-East region in the ongoing verification of National Social Register for the disbursement of conditional cash transfer to 25 million poor families across the country.

Nweze, who made this known in a statement signed and made available to newsmen shortly after a meeting with the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, said the ongoing verification of National Social Register will capture the poor and needy homes across the South-East zone.

She revealed her preparedness to work with the Minister to ensure that painstaking efforts are put forward to actualize the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The statement reads in part: “The ongoing verification, which was flagged off last week by the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, seeks to purge the National social register of ‘ghost beneficiaries’ by ensuring that genuine, poor, needy and vulnerable Nigerian families will be the real beneficiaries of the conditional cash transfer.”
