DSS Refused to been Used By Kogi Govt To Detain Suspected Terrorist

The Department of State Services (DSS) has denied that it was used by the government of Kogi State to detain and deny family members access to a suspect named Safiu, who was arrested in Trademore Estate, Abuja, for allegedly being connected to a terrorist act.
The wife of Safiu, the man who was arrested on October 24, 2022, at the Trademore Estate in Abuja, accused the DSS of being used by the governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, and of denying the suspect’s family access in a video that has since gone viral.
She also claimed that the DSS personnel who broke into their home and assaulted her despite the fact that she was pregnant caused her to lose her unborn child.
However, Dr. Peter Afunanya, the DSS’s spokesperson, quickly responded to the allegations, stating:she is either put on a big show or purposely lying. She was not denied entry at the agency’s gate, according to my knowledge.
He went on to say that?Once the requirements for such access are met, the DSS does not deny anyone access to its facility or suspects. In this regard, there are procedures and processes.Additionally regrettable is the lady’s involvement of the Service in Kogi State local politics.
She is well aware that the husband was not chosen because of Kogi politics, as she has vehemently attempted to link us to or convince the public.
“We encourage her to desist from using fake news, hate speech, hostile activism, misleading narratives, and other instruments of disinformation against the Service or to curry unnecessary public sympathy,” according to the DSS.She is familiar with the circumstances surrounding her husband’s legal arrest. And he wasn’t the only one who was detained at the time. Please put an end to the sensations and mischief that are luring us into Kogi politics.
